With a newborn baby on the way, I’m looking at getting an infrared camera system instead of just an audio baby monitor. With infrared illuminators the camera can see in the dark while the baby is sleeping. Then we can check on him (yes we had the ultrasound already!) and the infrared illuminator won’t keep the baby awake. The whole system works pretty much like those Fisher Price audio monitors, but has video as well. It’s all wireless so there’s no installation hassle. I just think that being able to use the infrared camera to “look in” on the baby any time during the night will give my wife and I more piece of mind that trying to hear the breathing over a regular baby monitor.

I am so stoked about the infrared camera gear I saw at Supercircuits. There’s even an infrared illuminator so that you can control the lighting of your camera! The infrared illuminators and the infrared camera are really useful when you think that regular lights will disturb your filming.

I can’t believe that just anybody can buy an infrared camera cheaply through the web. It just doesn’t seem to me like there is any legitimate purpose for an infrared illuminator except to spy on people. Combined with a hidden camera these infrared illuminators are designed to record people when they are unaware that they are being filmed. At least that’s the only purpose I can see for them. These are the types of equipment that make all those videos you see on the web. It almost seems like this stuff should be restricted to law enforcement personnel, especially an infrared camera but anyone can buy it for any purpose with just a few clicks of the mouse.

The firm my dad works for is wondering if there's any infrared camera out there that's any good. I'm not sure if anyone else had this experience but
it was not easy finding infrared illuminators until I found this site. When you go to the Supercircuits.com site, you'll see what I mean. I still have a
lot of searching to go but did find a great infrared illuminator. Still looking for that infrared camera though!!!

My friend owns a company that just endured some pretty serious theft so I have been thinking about buying an infrared camera. One massive can of redbull allowed me to stay up just long enough to locate a great site where I could find infrared illuminators. Supercircuits.com is amazing and has the bird's eye view for what is out there listed in easy form. Perfect! Finally someone has made it easy to buy. I did see a great infrared illuminator but not sure if it is exactly what I want. I know I need the infrared camera now, the other stuff can wait. Will write again soon and keep everyone up to speed.
